Evan Williams on Charlie Rose

One of Twitter's CEOs, Evan Williams, on Charlie Rose. I'm not sure if Charlie really "gets" it or is just trying to appear that way, but a few gems came out of the discussion.

"People are learning that living a bit more publicly, a bit more transparently, can have really powerful positive effects... It can be narcissistic and it can be completely ego-driven, but it can be an authentic, open way to live your life that people enjoy and can make your life richer."

Great NYTimes profile about an elementary school library doing some really cool stuff. Reaching across generational (teachers and students can learn from her), regional (located in Brighton Beach, her school has a large population whose first language is not english) and fiscal ($6 per student?! Here kid, go buy yourself a candybar) barriers, she seems quite inspirational. For some reason, this resonates with me more than, say, the librarian in black. I wonder why.

And by the way, what is an interactive white board? I'm imagining the screens they use on CNN....

Kids love to bury things.

And so do I. Is it too early to start a wish list for next year?
